Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)
Our therapists offer a specialty worksite FCE:
-
The worksite FCE is performed with the injured worker at his/her workstation.
-
It accurately measures the discrepancies between the worker's current functional level, where they need to progress for full duty and the plan to get there.
-
The evaluation is centered around the precise requirements of the target job.
Our therapy programs are measured against Official Disability Guidelines, (ODGs). BWC's benchmark.
Discharge statistics show;
97% return to work, same job, same employer,
19% fewer therapy visits,
41% fewer weeks in a therapy program.
Features:
-
It is real work, not simulated work
-
It is a collaboration between worker, employer and therapist
-
Modified duty tasks identified
Worksite Injury Prevention and Early Intervention for Musculoskeletal
Disorders, (MSDs);
-
A Therapist holds office hours at the worksite for walk-in and scheduled evaluations and treatments of MSDs.
-
Work-related injuries are treated as OSHA permissible First Aid and non-recordable, unless clinically inappropriate.
-
Outside referrals are sent to a pre-established preferred provider whenever possible and are closely managed by the therapist.
-
Non-work-related injuries are managed in-house whenever possible.
-
Workstation Evaluations and Job Coaching for ergonomic efficiencies, body mechanics, lifting techniques, etc.
